Inviting Adivasi Scholars for two weeks programme at London School of Economics in Autumn 2017


Adivasi Fellowship Programme:

The ESRC and EU ERC funded LSE Inequality and Poverty Research Programme, focusing on understanding the persistence of poverty amongst Adivasis and Dalits in India, seeks to invite Adivasi Scholars from Peninsular India to spend two weeks with the Programme in London in Autumn 2017 (Oct-Dec term).

Applications are welcomed from Early Career Scholars and Advanced PhD Students who are completing writing up. Applications must be Adivasis from Eastern, Central, Southern or Western India, Interested candidates should send the following by 2 January, 2017 to this address :

  • A CV
  • A chapter or article length example of your writing based on your original research (published or unpublished) of no more than 10,000 words
  • A covering letter which should summaries the research that you are currently working on, the research you plan to pursue in the future, and explain why you would like to be involved in this Programme and the Department of Anthropology at the LSE
  • Two academic references including a reference of educational qualifications from either your supervisor or your department
  • An ST certificate from a competent authority

Standard travel, accommodation and basic subsistence will be covered.
